Time for Turquoise

I am loving this beautiful time of year. Bright, colorful, and full of life and cheer.  It inspires optimism, hope, and creativity. Now it is hard enough to stay indoors in this lovely time of year, but if you are going to be inside, make sure its one that in some small way rivals the gorgeous outside world!

To me turquoise is very similar to spring... its so happy, inspiring, and cheerful. I love these lovely turquoise colored interiors. Light and airy, cool and beautiful.

They almost make it tempting to just stay inside and enjoy their splendid ambience don't they? 

How About Some Color?!

I can not help but get excited over spaces like this. Color excites me and drives my inspiration. Take a white walled space like this one and fill it with pops of color and instantly you gain moments of surprise and intrigue.

Even more neutral or dark spaces look bright and beautiful when you add a few color splashes.

Can't get enough color (like me?)... You can still introduce more  even if your walls are doused with color. Complimentary burst of color won't fight against your walls but these elements will add enhancement. 

So, in my opinion, no matter if your walls are white and bare, dark and neutral, or bright and colorful.... accents of brilliant hues will add some fun and interest to any space. Do it!

Don't you just love yellow? With spring right around the corner I just cant get enough! I love it anywhere on anything. Mustard is one of my favorite hues in the wonderful family of yellow. Mmmm tasty huh?

Oh my goodness gracious! I have been slammed the past few days. I have been wanting to blog at least once a day but that just has not been possible. First Friday in Greensboro

Well it's Friday and I'm heading out to First Friday in down town Greensboro. It's a night where all of the awesome vintage and "home made" shops and restaurants stay open later than their normal business hours. This awesome poster was designed for a previous  First Friday by some wonderful local designers Cabrera Creative. You have got to check them out! They are a couple here in Greensboro who make amazing art from their hand drawn sketches. You can buy their prints here!
