Invitation Design: Alaina & Tyler

I had the honor of designing the wedding invitation for one of my best friends, Alaina. She actually got married two weeks before I did and we were in each other's weddings so we got to go through all the craziness together! Like the other elements in her wedding, she wanted the invitations to be simple, yet elegant and to include her key apple green color. My favorite piece in this graphic is the intricate banner at the top that encompasses their initials and is then released into the border that encompasses the body. Im so glad you loved your invitations Alaina! I loved being apart of your special day and Im so glad you were apart of mine!

This morning I woke up to this beautiful message, that is now inscribed in the photograph above, from my wonderful husband Matt Wilson. What can I say...I got a good one. {This photo was taken by the wonderful Lucy Clement....I just added the text}

Coleen & Justin : Wedding Invitation Design

I recently designed these invitations for my cousin Coleen's upcoming wedding. I love the font their names are in...simple but with a fun little detail thrown in. {Its called "New Garden Light" for all those interested!} They were looking for a simplistic design but wanted to definitely use their colors. I love the style of these flowers too....very sixties....they add some fun and happiness to the layout. Just like Coleen :)

Righteous Retail...

How fabulous and over the top is this retail display? All in the name of heels. This installation features stretched hose ( great wow factor and it relates to the product being sold! Very cool) that creates cloud type structures overhead which are highlighted by light producing contrast through shadows. Oh and the shiny surface that encases the stilettos...thats one way mirror. Oh so dramatic. Read more about great retail installations here.

Little Brother

Ready or not Nora...here he is! We brought home our baby boxer puppy last week and named him Lincoln. He is only 9 weeks in these pictures and is already taller than the soon to be (on Sunday!) 2 year old Nora! She wasnt too sure about him at first. But he is just a big sweet heart.

(He sleeps a lot!)

But she is really getting attached to him and I know they are going to be the best of friends. He will be much bigger than her but I have a feeling she will always rule the Wilson' Roost!  :)

Modern Walnut Platform Bed Yumminess!

Maybe its the fact that I adore walnut,  or that orange is my favorite color, or may the fact that I have always wanted a platform bed. But everything about this space draws me in and makes me want to live in here! ahhh! I love the closet system in the background, the awesome natural light, the beautiful bureau, and the organic vases. This space is a clean and simplistic yet gorgeous work of art. But more than anything I LOVE the bed. I love this shape...I have designed a few products based off of a similar concept. I like how you can see under it too because of the simple mattress ( dream world talkin' now! you'd never see under mine with my blankets hangin' all over the place!) I also like the support that is a long short horizontal element in a lighter wood that acts as a piece to set things on and store things in.... both by concealing and revealing. Brilliant.
