Beyond Bold or Beautifully Brilliant?

I know most people are prone to neutrals and playing it safe. But sometimes, bursts of color can be so confidently gorgeous. These bright spaces seem like they were just born this way to me! I mean c'mon, everyone can paint beige all over their walls and use builder grade cabinets, but where is the fun in that? You want a designer look? Then you are going to have to live a little!

Of course you can tone it down some...but you can't deny these spaces make a statement. Would you embrace bold color on your walls or run and hide?
Im thinking of going bold with color myself... but on the ceiling :) Now that's a whole other post!

Vintage Goods for Your Home

Substantially Light

I started noticing a trend of interior images I have been pinning lately. These large, yet substantial pendant light fixtures. I love how their size and scale gives off a magnificent presence but their transparency translates into lightness. This is perfect for making a statement with out overwhelming. Beautiful aren't they?

Ever So Slightly {o b s e s s e d}

I recently started going on thrifting adventures quite regularly.  I have always had a love for things retro and I have now found a love for the search of vintage home goods. On my hunts I have found MCM consoles, lamps, and most commonly dish ware.  It is with the latter that I have come borderline obsessed.  Look at some of my wonderful finds...

Preparing to do a Photo Wall

{source}

I have been working on some projects over the last couple of months to be displayed on a wall in our den that I have recently emptied of its photo frames in perpetration of its "destiny" to become a photo/art wall. Now that all of my projects are completed, its time to do the installation. Ah, I wish it were that easy. If you want something done right... you have got to prepare, a lesson that it took me a long time to learn. So this afternoon it'll be me, a ruler, level, straight edge, a pencil, some craft paper and all of my work. Here are some great photo walls to stare at until I can show off mine!

the end.

A busy, busy day.

This is what my coffee table looks like this morning. Im working on a little project that is going to take me a long time but I love working on these little artistic endeavors. Being creative makes me so happy and its been a long time coming! Can't wait to show you the finished project soon!
